Artist statement:

The Nested Selves/Theater of Self/Three Point Nomad is work that I developed starting from 2007. Since then I continue to evolve this work slowly as it is shown, or in some instances, performed.

The conceptualization is based on the idea that the self is multiple and manifested through a series of sub-personas, an idea that was not new but significant to the narratives I was exploring as an ethnic American, bridging multiple worlds that are rather disconnected to one another.”

Originally staged at the ICA in Portland, Maine as part of the artist’s 2009 MFA thesis exhibition, and developed into a series of Ongoing: Studio Editions (available through Barrister’s Gallery, New Orleans), Wall Asssemblages (compilations of portraits, performance action images, drawings, objects, and collected objects that correlate to multiple personas), Entropic Transpersonifications II (2008; shown as part of the exhibitions Sustaining Visions, Maximum Perception, and Human Ecology 101Smaller versions have also been developed for the group exhibitions: Feeling for What no Longer is, My Girl, and Whirlwinds.

In 2016, a continuation of the series was featured in the new biennial exhibition Art & Industry in Labin/Istria, curated by Lucrezia de Domizio Durini: a piece entitled, Entropic Transpersonifications Sampler.
