Artist statement:

“The Nested Selves/Theater of Self/Three Point Nomad is work that I developed starting from 2007. Since then I continue to evolve this work slowly as it is shown, or in some instances, performed.  The conceptualization is based on the idea that the self is multiple and manifested through a series of sub-personas, an idea that was not new but significant to the narratives I was exploring as an ethnic American, bridging multiple worlds that are rather disconnected to one another.”

A significant component to the installation is this Video on Vimeo:  The Nested Selves  http://vimeo.com/43948585, that is projected on to the easel in the installation, as seen in the video listed above.  I also have images of this work if you prefer to see them.

Ongoing: Studio Editions are available for sale from the Nested Selves/Three Point Nomad; to view, visit the The Barrister’s Gallery website:  http://www.barristersgallery.com/angelopoulos.html

Wall Asssemblages are compilations of portraits, performance action images, drawings, objects, and collected objects that correlate to multiple personas.  In 2008,  I created Entropic Transpersonifications II  https://goo.gl/photos/cTVpqzYnagNe1A446

This work was shown in “Sustaining Visions”, “Maximum Perception”, and “Human Ecology 101”, Since, then, I have created smaller versions for group exhibitions, such as for  shows, “Feeling for What no Longer is”, “My Girl”, and “Whirlwinds”. In 2016, I was in a new Biennial exhibition called “Art & Industry” in Labin/Istria, curated by Lucrezia de Domizio Durini. Below is a link to several images and a document that includes a statement and explanation to a European audience about my piece, “Entropic Transpersonifications Sampler”.  https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByJKYO_5NEBQU3pOZGxfN25EQmc
